NHS Oral Contraceptive Pill Service at Layanson Pharmacy

Thanks to the new NHS Contraception Service, you can now start or renew your oral contraceptive pill prescription without needing to book a GP appointment. Simply speak with one of our trained pharmacists at Layanson Pharmacy for a fast, convenient, and confidential consultation.

How It Works

1. Book Your Appointment

If you’re running low (around four weeks’ supply or less) or want to begin taking oral contraception, you can schedule a one-to-one consultation with our pharmacist.

2. Attend Your Consultation

During a 10 – 15 minute appointment, our pharmacist will assess your suitability for the pill. If eligible, we’ll issue your prescription and dispense your medication straight away.

3. We’ll Notify Your GP

We’ll handle all communication with your GP to keep your records up-to-date—no extra effort required from you.
